How To Work Out Volume

When you are sending goods by sea, you are charged by the volume. This is how much space/area your goods take up on the vessel.

To work out the volume:

Width x length x height = X
then,
X divide by 610233.741 = A CBM

for example,

1) BOX = 29” x 26” x 24”
So,
29 x 26 x 24 =18096.00
Then,
18096.00 divide by 610233.7441 = 0.30 CBM

So, the box will take up 0.30 cbm of space.

2) 3 Seater Sofa = 38” x 78” x 34”
so,
38 x 78 x 34 = 100776.00
Then,
100776.00 divded by 610233.7441 = 1.66 CBM

So the 3 seater sofa will take up 1.66 cbm of space.
